Rockids takes the education of our children to heart. More than just a day care centre, we offer children a place for individual development, growth, play and learning.

To go further in the concept of positive pedagogy, the new concept “MONTESSORI by ROCKIDS”, offers an alternative to the classic crèches with a more advanced Montessori concept and “tailor-made” parental support.

Our Montessori nurseries are based on the pedagogy developed by Maria Montessori. Education is not proposed as a transmission of knowledge, but as the accompaniment of the natural development of the child, via an environment prepared and adapted to the characteristics and needs of the age of the child.

Installed in new or completely renovated structures, our Montessori crèches offer modern and dedicated facilities, as well as professional Mathou furniture made of certified natural wood.

The gardens and outdoor areas of the Montessori by Rockids crèches offer, in addition to other facilities, motor structures with slides and water games.

We offer the children in our Montessori crèches professional didactic material that strictly conforms to the fundamental principles of Maria Montessori. The material is arranged on trays or in baskets and organised in such a way as to respect the child’s learning progression. Each activity is presented individually by the educator to the child so that he or she can then use, practice and carry on independently and by self-correcting.

The aim here is to lead the child towards autonomy with the principle: “I want what I do” and not “I do what I want”.

The educational staff of the Montessori crèches benefit from an extensive training of 24 hours per year (16 hours for non-Montessori teams) in Montessori pedagogy and principles, as well as regular coaching by our in-house Montessori trainer.

Enhanced parental support

In order to offer more flexibility to families, Montessori by Rockids crèches offer the possibility to entrust their children part-time (80% or 20%) in addition to full-time or half-time.

The educators/parents handovers are made on the basis of a secure digital support with indication of the essential points and events of the child’s day, with sharing of photos and videos.

The parents also benefit from formalised support for monitoring the child’s development and major acquisitions. A list of the didactic material presented and mastered, and the acquisition of the child’s learning is formalised in addition.

The Montessori by Rockids nurseries also offer parent coaching with informative workshops led by our Montessori trainer, either face-to-face or in webinar format.

Organisation of Montessori by Rockids crèches

The Montessori by Rockids crèches are organised into different living units, depending on the age and development of the child.

0-2 years “Nido” unit

The 0-2 years “Nido” unit: a large and secure floor space encourages the youngest to move and explore freely. The equipment provided encourages primary sensory experiences through suspended mobiles or Snoezelen rooms. Fine motor skills are fostered through the first table activities or psychomotor activities. Areas for discovery and exploration encourage independent learning for the youngest children.

2-4 years “Children’s community”

Socialisation, toilet training, autonomy and psychomotor development are encouraged through practical and sensory activities. Work on language or writing, mathematics or natural sciences. Thanks to the specific didactic material and the Montessori pedagogy, our children absorb their initial learning, whether sensory, cultural, scientific or even linguistic at their own pace!

Bilingual childcare and plurilingualism

The Montessori by Rockids crèches offer bilingual French/English care, with an introduction to English for non-English speaking children to complement the multilingual care programme.

We also offer the “sign with baby” project to accompany the expression of the toddler who does not yet speak, with the principle of associating speech with certain specific words/gestures of sign language.
