The special features of our crèche located in the Gare (station) district in Luxembourg
The Crèche Rockids Gare makes the most of its geographical location in the heart of Luxembourg City by offering the children local educational activities. Regular outings include:
- At the Médiathèque: accompanied by an educator, the children take urban transport to choose books in the language of their choice. They can borrow them and bring them back to be read and presented to their peers at the centre
- At the Place de Strasbourg Park: the children go there on foot, accompanied by one or more educators, to play freely. Each child can discover the seasons and other play structures. They can also meet other children from the neighbourhood with the aim of personal development, psychomotor development and socialisation.
- At the urban markets: one or two Wednesdays a month, the children go for a walk to the Place Guillaume II market in Luxembourg. The walk is an opportunity to meet the shopkeepers. The children discover, according to the seasons and the traditional local festivals, the flower, fruit, vegetable, honey and jam stands. During the Christmas period, the children are accompanied in the same way to discover Luxembourg city’s traditional Christmas Market.
These outings and all the activities or games on offer by our educators are faithful to the values and principles of Rockids pedagogy.
